Terms and Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing the Time2Chess website, enrolling in our online or in-person chess coaching classes, or participating in our summer camps and tournaments, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Enrollment and Program Allocation
Students are assigned to specific training levels (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, or Master) based on initial assessments and coach evaluations. Time2Chess reserves the right to adjust a student’s level or batch to ensure the best structured learning environment.
3. Online and In-Person Class Conduct
We strive to maintain a disciplined and respectful environment. Students must exhibit good sportsmanship, respect toward internationally recognized coaches, and courtesy to peers. Any form of harassment, cheating (e.g., using chess engines during training games), or disruptive behavior may result in suspension from the academy.
4. Attendance and Make-Up Classes
Consistent attendance is crucial for building focus and strategic thinking. If a student misses a class, make-up sessions or class recordings (for online programs) will be provided only if prior notice is given to the coach or center in-charge, subject to batch availability.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
All structured curriculum materials, puzzles, lesson plans, videos, and website content provided by Time2Chess are our exclusive intellectual property. Students and parents are prohibited from distributing, copying, or using these materials for commercial purposes outside the academy.
6. FIDE and Internal Tournaments
Participation in district, state, national, or international FIDE-rated tournaments may require separate registration and fees. While Time2Chess provides Master-level tournament preparation, we do not guarantee FIDE titles, as competitive success depends solely on the individual student's performance and practice.
7. Class Login and Account Security
Enrolled students are provided with credentials for the "Class Login" portal. It is your responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of your account details. Sharing login credentials with non-enrolled individuals is strictly prohibited.
8. Modifications to Coaching Schedules
While we ensure consistency, Time2Chess reserves the right to modify class schedules, substitute FIDE certified coaches, or transition classes between online and offline formats in the event of unforeseen circumstances, public holidays, or operational requirements.
9. Limitation of Liability
Time2Chess is not liable for technical issues, internet disruptions, or third-party platform failures that may occur during online classes. For in-person classes, while we ensure maximum safety at our Chennai branches, the academy is not liable for personal injuries or loss of belongings on the premises.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms, enrollments, or coaching services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
